“I have been drawing since I could pick up a pencil, and I feel so blessed to be able to devote myself to painting full-time. Art is a complex, elusive discipline and any artist worth her salt is always striving to improve, and to express in paint what words can’t convey. I love painting interesting places, still life, and of course, the beauty of Florida, but people still fascinate me as subjects, especially when they are going about their everyday lives. I am fascinated with the drama that can be created with light, and every day that I walk across the street to the ocean, I see a different play of color and light on the sea. For me, art is a never-ending exploration of subjects, colors, styles, and emotions, and there is nothing more exhilarating than seeing it all come together in the painting I had visualized.”
