Bio/Statement:
Having been a pianist since the age of five, I never imagined I could create visual forms. I love being able to create something in my mind and transfer it to a physical thing. Sound lasts only an instant and then is gone, except for the memory of the performance. My baskets, sculptures, paintings and jewelry are still here tomorrow and next week and next year.

I still think of myself as a musician and creator of sound. Music seeps into my work as timbre, tone color, balance, form and dynamics. I am proud of my craftsmanship - 40 years of Hanon and Czerny have served me well!

In 1999 I took my first jewelry class. It is such fun creating original jewelry, sorting beautiful stones until the right combinations emerge. Exquisite gemstones and metals are irresistible. The promise of a final creation that combines color, texture, tone and feel is addictive. Often, the natural beauty of the materials needs simply to be presented, so you will find that simplicity in some of my work. In other pieces, it is the combinations that create the beauty. In these pieces, you will see lots of things happening. In all my work, I want to create pieces that look stunning and make you feel elegant!
