Bio:
Tom Parker's personal impressionistic
paintings reflect his vision and the way he relates to his
intimate surroundings. Using pastels to interpret familiar
object in nature, he combines elements of the Florida sunlight
and hs love of color to create powerful designs. Parker's
awards include Best of Show at the Winter Park Sidewalk Art
Festival; Grumbacher Award, Florida Pastel Association; Judges
Selection; Walt Disney World Festival of the Masters and Award
of Distinction, St. Augustine Art Festival. Receiving his
BA from Florida State University, Tom has taught drawing and
painting classes. Collectors of his work include Walt Disney
World Corporation, Alabama Power Corporation, City of Winter
Park, Brevard Art Center and Museum, as well as numerous private
collectors in the United States and abroad.
